100 firefighters tackle blaze on roof of London’s Mandarin Oriental hotel

The reason for the fire in London's Mandarin Oriental Hotel isn't yet known. There were no quick reports of wounds.

A fire broke out at London's Mandarin Oriental inn on Tuesday, with many firefighters sent to handle the burst that pumped smoke high into the air over the British capital.

The fire unit said "around 100 firefighters are handling a substantial fire at an inn of 12 stories in Knightsbridge", an extravagance region of focal London where Harrods retail chain is found.

The fire benefit said the burst was "creating a great deal of smoke" and was "extremely obvious" and its motivation "isn't known at this stage". Read More...
